High Street Fitness & Wellbeing is a registered charity that's redefining what a gym can be. Not-for-profit. Community-owned. Open to all.
We don't have members. We have owners. When people feel involved and valued, they achieve amazing things. That's the POW philosophy that drives everything we do.
Our members aren't passive consumers — they're active participants in shaping the gym. Classes, schedules, new equipment. You have a say.
When you feel ownership, you take care of things. Of the space. Of each other. Of the community. This gym belongs to everyone who walks through the door.
We stand behind what we do. Not with corporate T&Cs — with genuine care for the people we serve. Your wellbeing is our guarantee.
"It\'s our mission to break down the barriers of health and wellbeing."— Daniel Crandon, Co-founder
High Street Fitness started with a simple question: what if a gym was built for the community instead of extracting from it? We took over a dying high street unit during the hardest year most of us have lived through. We built something that belongs to the people of Pontypool.
We believe in mental as well as physical wellbeing. In affordable access. In making fitness something people actually want to do, not something they feel guilty about avoiding.
Behind every great community gym is a team of people who care too much and sleep too little. FitOS is the operating system that gives High Street Fitness the tools to keep delivering — member tracking, volunteer management, outreach automation, and a command centre for everything the gym does.
Built for the gym that puts people first.
